Report by Imran Khan, Journalist

The Welfare Party of India has announced its full support for the All India General Strike to be held on July 9, which is being organized to demand the withdrawal of anti-worker, anti-farmer, and anti-people policies and laws of the central and state governments.

In a press statement, Salim Ahmed Chitapuri, President of the Welfare Party’s Gulbarga district unit, stated that instead of implementing laws for the welfare of the working class, the governments are enforcing exploitative policies that have pushed laborers and the general public into great difficulties.

He emphasized that the four new labor codes introduced by the central government are completely anti-worker and must not be implemented under any circumstances. He also condemned other anti-people steps such as the new education policy, allowing night shifts for women laborers, and increasing working hours to 12 hours.

Various organizations across the country are protesting against these measures through this strike. Welfare Party officials and workers across the state will actively participate in the strike.

Salim Ahmed Chitapuri appealed to laborers, farmers, and working-class people to participate in the strike in large numbers and help make it a success.
