The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great fanfare at Bethany English Medium School in the city.

The flag hoisting was performed by the chief guests, Girish, head of SBI Life Insurance Company, and Dharmaraj Heroor, vice president of the Bethany School Teacher-Parent Association. The children performed cultural programs and remembered the sacrifices of the heroic leaders who fought for independence. The guests, along with the school’s Vice Principals Sister Lehra and Sister Elvina, teachers, students, and parents, participated in the program and made it a success.
