Clash in Kalaburagi Central Jail: Inmate Stabbed, Condition Critical

Kalaburagi: Tension gripped Kalaburagi Central Jail after a violent clash broke out among prisoners on Friday. During the fight, a convicted inmate, identified as Ismail Moulali (30), was stabbed in the neck with a sharp object by another prisoner.

The attacker has been identified as Mohammed Hussain, a native of Bidar, who is currently serving a sentence in a narcotics (ganja) case. Following the assault, Moulali sustained severe injuries and was immediately shifted to GIMS Hospital, Kalaburagi, where his condition is reported to be critical.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. A case has been registered at Farhatabad Police Station, and security within the jail premises has been tightened.
