Dalita Janajagruthi Vedike Seeks Permission for Constitution Awareness March in ChittapurKalaburagi, Oct 27:The Dalita Janajagruthi Vedike (Dalit Public Awareness Forum) has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Kalaburagi, seeking permission to organize a Constitution Awareness March (Pata Sanchalana) in Chittapur town on November 2, 2025.The event aims to promote constitutional values, social justice, and equality, with participants carrying the Preamble of the Indian Constitution and the Blue Flag as symbols of peace and democratic unity inspired by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Vedike, in its memorandum, also expressed concern over recent threats to Minister Priyank Kharge and accused the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of holding unauthorized lathi marches in Chittapur, which, they warned, could disturb communal harmony. The organization requested the district administration not to grant permission for such aggressive marches, emphasizing that their own procession would be completely peaceful.“If permission is granted to the RSS, the same should be extended to us for our awareness rally,” the Vedike stated.Around 1,000 participants are expected to join the march, which will start at Ladding Cross and conclude at Basaveshwara Circle, passing through key areas of Chittapur. The organization has attached all required documents, including its registration certificate, assuring full cooperation with the authorities to maintain peace and order during the event.Report by Imran Khan | Kalaburagi, Karnataka–
